Payment Policies & Refunds

When it comes to cookie orders, we take payments as seriously as we take our baking. We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and even the occasional barter if you have something truly delicious to offer.

Refunds? Sure, we’ll consider them, but only if you can convince us that our cookies were not the best thing since sliced bread. Just remember, once you taste our cookies, you might forget what a refund even is!

So, get your wallets ready and prepare for a cookie experience that will have you coming back for more. Just don’t blame us if you end up with cookie crumbs in your pockets!

All cookies & sweet treats are made in a home kitchen not routinely inspected by the Department of Health.

*Some flavors may only be available for pre-sale or on a seasonal basis.

Cookie Creations by Jess  provides  decorated treats using fresh and high quality ingredients. As I appreciate your business and are honored that you have chosen my bakery for your special celebration, I guarantee that the flavors, sizes, and design elements will be met as your request/invoice outlines.

Availability

When inquiring about available dates, please keep in mind that my calendar fills quickly. Inquiring about a date and filling out the custom order request does not reserve a spot on my calendar. Dates are only reserved when full payment is received.

Due too holiday preorders, and community events...availability around these time may be limited.

Also note that sometimes plans change for my clients and openings come up so please don't hesitate to reach out.

ORDER QUANTITIES

COOKIES: 1 dozen (x12) minimum with the exception when ordering single kits or promotions. 

ORDER TIMELINES
There is a lot of love, time and effort that goes into making one of a kind cookies. The process takes a minimum of 7 days from oven to packaging. This entails designing, baking, decorating, adding fine details & accents, adequate dry time (24 hrs min.) to packaging.

A minimum of 2 weeks notice is needed to place an order. This also allows me to order or print any cutters and order supplies I may not have on hand to complete your custom order.

For larger orders, 6 dozen or more, requires 3 week notice.

FOOD ALLERGIES & INTOLERANCES
If you have allergies or intolerances, please check out the Food Allergy Disclaimer page @ (INSERT LINK HERE) before purchasing or consuming items from my bakery.

Food Coloring & Dye Notice:
As of January 2025, the FDA has officially banned the use of Red Dye No. 3 in food and has given a deadline of January 15, 2027 for it to no longer be used in food items. I am in the process of replacing all colorings that contain this ingredient to natural options.

Payment
Full payment is due within 24 hours from the time your invoice is received. Cookie requests are not booked until full payment is received. For orders (10+ dozen), a 50% deposit may be made. Full Payment is due 12 days prior to the pickup date.

I accept the following forms of payment: Square Payment, Cash, Credit Card, Zelle, PayPal & Apple Pay.

Rush Orders
If workload permits, I may be able to complete a rush order (less than a 2 weeks notice) however there is a rush fee of $25. PLEASE NOTE: The order process takes a minimum of 7 days to complete. This includes, design, bake, decorating, detail work, a minimum of 24 hour dry time, and packaging.

Changes to Existing Orders
Please notify me with changes no less than 7 days. Changes cannot be made once cookies are baked or decorated.

Cancellation
I understand that life has it's challenges, believe me. Please provide notice of cancellation 7 days before the pick up date. In the event you need to cancel your order after that time, please let me know as soon as possible. If cookies have already been baked, arrangements must be made to pick them up and no refunds will be given. ***Please see cookie care below***

COVID-19 disclaimer: In the event myself or one of my family members is exposed to Covid-19 or if I fall ill, all customers with booked orders that will be affected will be notified. Those orders will be cancelled and a refund will be given. No cookies will be baked or sold until we are cleared health-wise.

Refunds
All sales are final & no refunds will be given for cookies already made. Any orders placed and not picked up after 24 hours will be forfeited with no refund unless arrangements have been made prior.

Packaging
Our cookies come with standard packaging where each item is individually bagged in a food-safe, self-seal bag to ensure freshness, unless otherwise stated in a promotion or a request. Custom orders are placed in a bakery box. Additional Packaging options are also available at an additional cost. Please see PRICING for more info.

Note: All cookies that contain airbrushing, edible marker and watercolor details are dusted with powder sugar prior to packaging.

Pick-up & Delivery

PORCH PICK-UP
Pick-up times must be arranged and scheduled. All orders will be placed on the cookie station with the customer's name. Orders must be picked up at the agreed time. Please contact me if running late. Any pick-ups past 30 minutes will be rescheduled. If order hasn't been picked up within 24 hours (without prior contact/arrangement) will be forfeited and no refunds will be given.
Note: You can designate someone to pick-up on your behalf if prior arrangements have been made.

DELIVERY
Delivery is not available at this time.  We hope to be able to offer Door Dash or Uber Eats in the Future. 

SHIPMENT
Due to Cottage Food Law, I am not allowed to ship cookies. All cookies are for local pickup only.

Order Release & Cookie Care

Please check your order once you receive it. Once cookies have left my care, you assume complete responsibility.

Cookies are packaged with the utmost care but are still fragile so please handle them gently.
Cookies may shift inside the packaging, keep boxes level, support the box when carrying, and place cookies on a flat surface during transport.
Do not keep cookies in extreme heat.
Do not place the cookies in the refrigerator as this will ruin the design
Cookies will stay fresh for up to 2 weeks in an air-tight container or sealed packaging & 3 months frozen.

TO PRESERVE FRESHNESS...
Cookies will stay fresh for up to 2 weeks if kept in an airtight container.

Decorated cookies can be frozen for up to 3 months in an air tight or sealed package. To thaw, bring cookies to room temperature for 3-4 hours before opening bag or container (to prevent condensation).

Allergy Disclaimer

All products are prepared, baked, and packaged in my home kitchen that is not allergy-friendly. Although we use best practices to avoid cross contamination, there is no guarantee that the products produced will be free from potential allergens. There is always a risk of cross-contamination to occur and I cannot guarantee that ingredients or tools used have not come in contact with them.

Those with allergies and intolerances are advised to eat at their own risk or seek out a bakery that has allergy/intolerance friendly products.
